Description

Baci di Cherasco are crunchy chocolates, made from dark chocolate, hazel-nuts (of Tonda gentile delle Langhe variety) toasted and crushed together with cocoa butter. The raw ingredients are mixed together and the mixture obtained is crushed into small pieces, which once cooled are of irregular shape, which characterise each individual chocolate.

Baci di Cherasco chocolates are produced in craft pastry workshops located in Cherasco (CN)

History

According to tradition these chocolates date back to the late 1800’s, when a young pastry maker of Cherasco, on returning to his home town after learning the trade in Turin, opened a confectionery shop. This is where he experimented with the union between dark chocolate and Langhe hazel-nuts, thereby giving rise to a series of delicious sweets. The Baci di Cherasco
